Doja Cat Bio
Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini, known professionally as Doja Cat, is a critically acclaimed American rapper, singer, songwriter, and producer recognized for her genre-bending sound and viral internet presence. Born in Los Angeles on October 21, 1995, to an artistic family, she developed a passion for music early on, teaching herself to sing, rap, and produce using GarageBand after dropping out of high school. She began her career by uploading music to SoundCloud, releasing her debut EP, Purrr!, in 2014 after signing with RCA Records. While her initial work received modest attention, she achieved mainstream fame in 2018 with the novelty hit "Mooo!", which capitalized on meme culture. This success set the stage for her second studio album, Hot Pink (2019), which featured the chart-topping, TikTok-viral single "Say So" . Her third album, Planet Her (2021), further solidified her status as a pop-rap powerhouse, featuring hits like "Kiss Me More" (feat. SZA). Her 2023 album, Scarlet, marked a shift toward a more hip-hop-focused sound, producing her first solo Billboard Hot 100 number-one single, "Paint The Town Red". Known for her eccentric, humorous, and sometimes controversial online personality, Doja Cat is celebrated for her artistic versatility, blending elements of R&B, pop, and soul. She has won numerous accolades, including a Grammy Award, five Billboard Music Awards, and five MTV Video Music Awards. In 2023, she was included in Time magazine's list of the 100 most influential people in the world.

In 2024, she headlined the Global Citizen Festival in New York City, advocating for aid to conflict zones including Gaza, Ukraine, Sudan, and the Congo. Breonna Taylor Justice Fund: In 2020, during the height of the Black Lives Matter protests, she made a substantial $100,000 donation to the Justice for Breonna Taylor Fund, urging fans to support initiatives combating racial injustice. Doja Cat’s charitable efforts generally target three main pillars: Humanitarian Aid: Advocating for food, shelter, and education for those fleeing violence and conflict. Civil Rights: Active support for racial equality and justice movements.
