BTS Bio

Since debuting in 2013 under Big Hit Entertainment, BTS (RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook) has evolved from K-pop underdogs into a global cultural phenomenon. Bridging social commentary with infectious hip-hop and pop, the septet smashed historic barriers as the first South Korean act to top the US Billboard Hot 100 and sell out Wembley Stadium. Over their career, they have accumulated millions of album sales, earned multiple Grammy nominations, and established an unmatched global community with their fanbase, ARMY. Following a nearly four-year touring hiatus due to mandatory South Korean military service, BTS made a historic collective return to the stage. Their "Arirang World Tour" stands as their most ambitious trek yet, supporting their namesake comeback album. Spanning dozens of regions across five continents, the massive stadium tour features an innovative 360-degree, in-the-round stage design. The tour is generating an unprecedented global economic boom—boosting local tourism and hotel occupancy everywhere from Tokyo to Mexico City. Selling out multiple nights at major international venues, BTS is pulling in record-breaking box office figures, proving their position as the world's definitive stadium-status pop group remains entirely untouched.

BTS Charity Interest

Beyond their musical feats, BTS has built a monumental legacy of global philanthropy. The cornerstone of their advocacy is the "LOVE MYSELF" campaign, launched in 2017 in partnership with UNICEF. Aimed at ending violence, abuse, and bullying while fostering self-esteem among youth, the initiative has raised over $3.6 million through album sales, merchandise profits, and direct band contributions, famously culminating in multiple historic addresses at the United Nations General Assembly. The group’s impact relies heavily on localized, direct action. During critical movements, their solidarity has been swift: in 2020, BTS donated $1 million to Black Lives Matter, a gesture that their global fanbase, ARMY, matched within just 25 hours. They also provided $1 million to Live Nation’s Crew Nation fund to support out-of-work concert crews during the pandemic. Individually, the members frequently discreetly direct their wealth toward systemic aid. Their personal contributions span deep-impact sectors: Jungkook has donated 1 billion won ($765,000) to the Seoul National University Children's Hospital, J-Hope has funded child violence prevention centers in Tanzania, and Suga has consistently backed disaster relief, including significant aid for the Turkey-Syria earthquake.
