The Bridge was built out of concern for a whole generation of children with autism that need more services and for parents who need more support.

Fundraising is a part of life in any private school setting, even a non-profit school. We are not subsidized by any other group. We do not receive funding from any religious groups, government, or associations.  We pay our own rent, insurance, maintenance, supplies, etc.  And we are fortunate to have a few degreed, state certified teachers, most of whom could teach in the public school setting, yet they choose to stay with us. That level of dedication and skill requires and deserves a fair wage. Without fundraising, the cost of tuition would make it impossible for many families to attend our school. We want to enable as many children as possible to get the best  education possible, and your generosity can make that happen.

The Bridge of Georgia is a place that is focused on developing the abilities of children of all ages and ability levels.  It is a place where all children are welcome and can succeed.  At The Bridge we pay careful attention to the learning style of each child.  We work to build the areas in which they are strong while strengthening the areas in which they have difficulty.  It is a place where class sizes are small and children have the opportunity to shine. Research shows us that all children benefit when children with special needs and typical children learn alongside each other.  We are committed to having the supports in place so that each child can succeed.  We believe that appropriate social skills are a building block to success and that these skills deserve attention each day.
