Texas Enactus is a social entrepreneurship student organization at The University of Texas at Austin. We are one of over 1700 university Enactus teams worldwide spurring change through business.

At its core, Enactus is about creating social change through environmentally, economically, and socially sustainable initiatives.  Using our unique skills and abilities, Texas Enactus students recognize community needs and builds out ventures to address them.  We are making a splash from the City of Austin to Bukembe, Kenya.

Community stakeholders are an integral part of the implementation, as their participation makes a project truly sustainable.  When one of our ventures reaches a certain stage of maturity, it is handed off to community members, or spun-off into an independent, financially viable business.

Community members also play an important role in a venture's development by providing start-up funding. You can be one of these impactful community members if you buy your tickets on tix4cause! 1. Sprout Scouts - An initiative to provide fresh produce to underprivileged students and teach nutrition at schools in Austin food deserts.

2. The Wema Bakery - a collaboration with an international Enactus team to build a micro-enterprise bakery at an orphanage in Kenya in hopes of providing business skills and a sustainable source of income for students.

3. Driven - an application to connect the Austin homeless population with employment

4. SEEK - an initiative to engage and inspire low income students to take action on causes they care about with social entrepreneurship and financial literacy skills.
