Metrocrest Social Services stands ready to help families through their emergencies and to plan for a more secure future. Through our assistance with rent, utility payments, food, clothing, medical prescriptions, and more, we truly prevent families from being homeless. Our Employment Program provides individuals with support for a successful work search in the form of resume assistance and individual job leads, gasoline vouchers and bus passes. In addition we have programs to assist families in successfully managing financially stressful seasons. 

First known as “TRUTH House” (Through Real Understanding To Help), Metrocrest Social Services celebrates a rich, 40-year history of service to people in need. From its humble beginnings on Bee Street in Farmers Branch where it served as a “crash pad” for teenagers having problems, to its current location in Farmers Branch, this program has truly been Neighbors Helping Neighbors. Since 2001, Bunny Summerlin has served as Executive Director of Metrocrest Social Services, overseeing services and programs.
