Move Over Batman! Introducing a New League of Super Heroes...Your Students!

GPP is teaming up with positive celebrity role models to inspire kids to discover their "inner Super Hero." This  “get out of your chair, throw your hands in the air” interactive assembly inspires kids to explore how they can use their unique talents (AKA super powers) to help others. GPP’s other goal is to introduce kids to real life role models (including other children) who are overcoming some of life’s greatest obstacles. GPP coordinates an actual Super Hero Service Project with the school that benefits a local or global cause.

This film follows the inspiring journeys of real life heroes who are overcoming adversity in the most unimaginable ways. Instead of giving up these GPP Super Heroes are transforming their pain into Greater Purpose Projects to help others!

Further Outreach

In addition to the school visits, GPP founder Lauren Burgoyne and/or other GPP Heroes  are presenting The Greater Purpose Project mission to various groups, fire departments and businesses across the U.S. to create new Greater Purpose Projects and or raise awareness about existing causes.

What is the social issue/problem being addressed and how?

One of the greatest components of The Greater Purpose Project is that this documentary covers a broad spectrum of social issues and problems that every audience member can identify with on some level. The six GPP heroes (adults and children) profiled in this documentary are all enduring what most would qualify as your worst nightmare scenario (e.g., living with an incurable disease, losing a child, overcoming an addiction, surviving a terrorist attack, etc.).

While each individual’s struggle is different, there is a common thread that ties each person together; their ability to “overcome adversity” rather than “be overcome” by adversity.
