Paws for Patrick is a non-profit organization founded in August 2020 by the Roemer family in memory of their late son, Patrick. Our organization is dedicated to improving the mental health of individuals through the emotional support of animals. Patrick battled depression and anxiety for several years before tragically losing his life to his illness in May 2020. Throughout his struggles, his beloved dog, Cici, provided him with solace and hope. Inspired by Patrick's experience, Paws for Patrick aims to change lives one animal at a time. Paws for Patrick’s Emotional Support Animal Program, assists clients in obtaining an ESA certification letter by connecting them with licensed clinical therapists. A Wish Granter guides them through the process of finding, adopting, and financially supporting an Emotional Support Animal, while also facilitating and funding the necessary training in the most suitable environment for each individual. To date, we have successfully received 649 ESA requests to fund ESAs animals and write ESA certification letters for our clients in 43 states.
