MidAmerica Service Dogs’ Foundation, Inc. provides trained service and companion dogs to children and adults with disabilities free of charge. A completely trained service dog is valued at $20,000.00. Some of the tasks for which service dogs are trained are to open and close doors, turn lights on and off, retrieve the phone and remote control, pull a wheelchair and much more. The dogs also provide a constant source of companionship, friendship, acceptance and love. Many of the puppies and dogs selected for the program are from shelters and rescue groups.

The mission of MidAmerica Service Dogs’ Foundation, Inc. is to obtain, provide, and train service and companion dogs for children and adults with disabilities so their lives may be enhanced and they may benefit from the loyalty, friendship, and independence their service dogs provide.
