Over 4,000 kids in Chicago are in foster care due to abuse or neglect. About a third of them suffer from some special need - severe emotional distress, physical disability, HIV/AIDS or other medical condition - often resulting directly from their abuse.  These are the kids Kaleidoscope serves.  Kaleidoscope's mission is to serve abused and neglected children and their families - unconditionally - through individualized, family-centered, community-focused care. Kaleidoscope's vision is for every child to have a chance to lead an independent, self sufficient, productive and happy life.
