Habitat for Humanity of Illinois partners with the 52 Illinois Habitat affiliates, building homes with limited-income families, who live in sub-standard conditions and need safe, decent, affordable housing.

Approximately 100 Habitat houses are built annually in Illinois. After investing “sweat equity” working side-by-side with volunteers, the Habitat family buys the house with a 0% interest Habitat loan, becoming a homeowner, often for the first time.
