Guided by our mission to engage Minnesota’s youth of color (African American, American Indian, Asian American and Hispanic/Latino) in post-secondary education, we work to promote their educational success, personal responsibility, and untapped potential to become vital contributors to their communities.We accomplish this by granting financial assistance for post-secondary students and by fostering positive attitudes toward literacy and learning among younger school-age children of color.

PEP's mission is to supplement the academic programs of Palisades Elementary Charter School through activities and special events, enhance a sense of community, serve as a liaison between families and the School’s administration, teachers, staff and Governing Council, and fundraise to help meet uncovered school expenditures.

The $1 million Paramount Theatre opened September 3, 1931. Designed by nationally renowned theater architects C.W. and George L. Rapp, the theater captures a unique Venetian setting portrayed in the art deco influence of the 1930s. Today, the Paramount Theatre supports an annual audience of 150,000 patrons and was named one of the Top 10 theatres in Chicago by the League of Chicago Theatres. The theatre continues to be an anchor in the city bringing in approximately $3.3 million in ancillary revenue as well as hosting many free community events including the Midwest Literary Festival, the Air Force Band Concert, the Aurora Idol Competition and staging the annual Fox Valley Park District children's production.

The Parks and Recreation Foundation of the Addison Park District was founded on June 18, 2003, as a not-for-profit organization. It’s goals are to support, promote and encourage the expansion of educational and recreational opportunities for all residents of the Village of Addison. In June 2008, while eating pizza at our dinner table, my fifteen year old son asked me, (a 26 year Regular and Reserve Air Force Veteran) if it would be possible to 'send some pizzas’ to our troops serving in Iraq and Afghanistan. Our initial goal was to raise enough funds to ship about 300 pizzas. We contacted General David Petraeus and asked his permission to send pizzas for July 4th 2008. He answered our email within 12 hours welcoming the “Pizza Party.” After contacting many shipping companies, DHL Express offered to ship the pizzas at no cost. Within two weeks we raised enough funds to ship over 2,000 pizzas. We have been at it ever since...shipping over 50,000 pizzas to date, enabling us to feed over 200,000 soldiers, which is about 400,000 slices of pizza. Your donations make this possible. Plainfield East High School, or PEHS is a four-year public high school located in Plainfield, Illinois, a southwest suburb of Chicago, Illinois, in the United States. It is part of the Plainfield Community Consolidated School District 202, which also includes three other high schools: Plainfield Central High School, Plainfield South High School, and Plainfield North High School.
