Here Comes the Sun celebrates Cancer Survivorship while creating Cancer Awareness. One Day out of the year we conduct a Free Health Fair that focuses only on Cancer while providing entertainment by various local comedians and Beatle Tribute Bands.

The Heritage YMCA Association enhances the quality of life for families through programs reflecting Christian principles to help build healthy mind, body and spirit for all. This is accomplished through various programs, activities and schools for people of all ages.

Mission Statement: Hesed House is a not-for-profit organization of ministries serving the very poor of the Fox Valley Area. Its mission is to provide food for the hungry, clothes for the naked, shelter for the homeless and the chance for the less fortunate to hope again. Hesed House, changing lives of the Fox Valley Area homelessness since 1983, is the largest shelter in Illinois (outside the City of Chicago in numbers served). On-site, direct service programs to transition individuals out of homelessness include the PADS® Overnight Emergency Shelter for 155-207 homeless men, women and children every night; Daytime Drop-In Center with self-improvement services for 100 additional people; job skills training; on-site Transitional Living Center that is home to 52 individuals – 50% of whom are almost always young children; permanent supporting housing for 40+ individuals; one-on-one case management; legal and medical clinic and private on-site children’s therapy.

The H Foundation is committed to finding a cure for cancer. All money raised is donated to the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center of Northwestern University for Basic Science Cancer Research. Our support targets seed funding and idea grants, which provides much needed financing for beginning research ideas that build into research results. In ten years, we've raised over $3.5 MILLION! Our biggest fundraiser is The Goombay Bash, A Caribbean Festival to Find a Cure for Cancer. The 11th Annual Goombay Bash will be held on August 6, 2011 at the Grand Ballroom at Navy Pier. HighSight is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide academic and social support to Chicago high school students. HighSight provides scholarships, tutoring, mentoring, leadership development and college readiness programs to enable its students to attend and succeed at the private high school of their choice.

The Hinsdale Humane Society is a private, nonprofit organization dedicated to the care and adoption of homeless animals. We advocate education and public service to encourage the compassionate treatment of animals and to prevent their suffering and neglect. We are a voice for companion animals who are dependent on people for their care and believe they are entitled to our respect and protection.

The mission of HOPE is to support the treatment of women living with HIV or Aids and to prevent transmission of HIV to newborns.

Crisis pregnancy brings a feeling of being lost ,alone, and with out options. A woman in a crisis pregnancy feels hopeless, and that same feeling will be passed onto her baby. These women often become homeless. With no home, no life skills, no sense of self worth or value of a life, and no alternative, many choose to end the pregnancy. The numbers are painful: in Texas alone, approximately 50,000 teenage girls, or one out of every four, will experience a crisis pregnancy in the next 12 months. Sadly, Texas leads the nation in this area.
