The mission of the 100 Club of Chicago is to provide for the surviving spouses and dependents of law enforcement officers, firefighters and paramedics who lose their lives in the line of duty. This includes all federal, state, county and local officers, firefighters and paramedics stationed in Cook County. Within 24 hours following the loss of life in the line of duty, the 100 Club presents an initial check to cover the family's immediate needs. Several weeks later a second meeting is held with the family and the Club will present an additional check to cover a portion of the family's debts. The Educational Assistance Program of the 100 Club provides financial assistance for dependents for their undergraduate, vocational education and graduate studies. The 100 Club of Chicago, founded in 1966, is a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization incorporated under the laws of the State of Illinois.
