About Us
Have you ever attended a professional sporting event or a concert or theater performance and seen empty seats around you? Inevitably, despite the best planning, things come up and people holding these tickets can't make the event. The more I thought about this, the more I began to notice that it is a real, ongoing regular occurrence. In fact, research shows that season ticket holders on average only attend 40-45% of their events and offer the balance of their tickets to either friends, clients, employees, or try to sell them. Research also shows that 10-15% of the time they may do nothing and just toss them aside. As someone who views things from a different perspective, I soon began to realize that these empty seats could turn into real donations for a charity if an e-vehicle existed to complete the transaction.
After speaking to numerous non-profit organizations it became clear that the need for this e-vehicle was real and growing. Giving is much more difficult in our economy today. Charities have seen a marked decrease in donations and state and federal funding to many non-profits is being drastically reduced if not completely eliminated. Simultaneously, studies continue to show that both corporations and individual season ticket holders are viewing fewer events. Put the two together and it became apparent that the unused resource of these tickets can be the answer to incremental giving and donations to the non-profits in need. Based on what I was hearing I quickly realized that the timing to launch tix4cause.com could not be better.
tix4cause.com was launched to provide a low cost solution for charities seeking much needed donation support. tix4cause.com is designed to embrace the concept of "Giving for a Greater Good." Tix4Cause aspires to be the preeminent online marketplace for ticket transactions that benefit ticket donors, purchasers and charitable causes. The activities on Tix4Cause will drive increased funding to charities that desperately need it, as well as make donating and buying tickets a more satisfying, empowering experience.
tix4cause.com saw an opportunity to help boost fundraising for any charity or non-profit interested in participating, while at the same time allowing people to enjoy live entertainment without paying exorbitant fees often charged by ticket distributors. Through our easy-to-use ticket donation and sales interface, anyone can purchase "tix" to a wide variety of sports events, concerts, live theater and more. With Tix4Cause, consumers get great premium seats at a fair-market value, ticket donors may qualify for a tax deduction, and charities receive 100% of the ticket proceeds. In the end, everyone wins.
Sincerely,
